SickKids LOVE holiday ornament
20% goes to SickKids; 3" in diameter. Silver plate and comes in a beautiful blue SickKids' branded box.
A bright young boy named Ben inspired the suetables line for SickKids.
At four and a half years old, SickKids diagnosed him with the most common form of cancer affecting young children - acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). ALL affects the white blood cells and after months of fighting, Ben received a bone marrow transplant that saved his life.
Ben, now 12, listens to Green Day, loves skateboarding, soccer and shredding the steepest hills on his snowboard. Ben’s a bit of a joker at heart, but no one makes him laugh harder than his older brother, Max. He is a loyal friend and competitive player - the best kind of big brother.
Ben likes his pizza with lots of cheese, his pickles sour and his aunties fudge brownies. He vows to never eat yogurt again -- the one food that helped mask the taste of countless spoonfuls of medicine during the year-long treatment at SickKids.
After his Auntie and Grandpa mentioned that cancer was their zodiac sign, Ben chimed in, “Yah I used to have cancer but not anymore.”
Believe in Ben. Believe in SickKids. Because every child deserves to be healthy.
To date, Suetables has raised close to $100,000 in Ben's name.
