Suetables is fueled by passion and a commitment to create exceptional, simple and personal jewelry. Catering to those who choose to express their authenticity and personal expression through fashion, each Suetables is hand stamped ensuring is piece is unique and reflects something about the wearer.
sue henderson, founder, CEO
For over 10 years, Sue worked in the television industry before turning to jewelry design in 2004 as a more personal means of expression. Her experience in reputation building and management, working with experts, actors, designers, chefs and artists has helped her build Suetables into a small, but recognized cottage-industry brand.
Sue describes her business as something that grew from, “a need for balance combined with my love of contemporary art, fashion, literature and words.” Inspired by a hand-stamped vintage knife she saw on the coast of Maine, Sue started hand stamping vintage silver baby spoons and butter knifes for gifts. Once she developed her hand-stamping skills, personalizing jewelry was a natural evolution that provided an outlet for her creativity. Suetables’ sterling silver jewelry is designed in Toronto and made in the mountains in Mexico.
Sue or a local rep personalizes each pendant -- one letter or number at a time ensuring that each piece is unique. With a focus on local growth to maintain personal connections with clients, Sue hopes to have a Suetables rep in every North American city one day.
Not just content to dream about faraway places, Sue ensures that travel is a vital aspect of her life and jewelry design. To be creative, Sue believes you have to go where you can relax and take in new sights and experiences. From visiting art galleries on Toronto’s Queen Street with her two sons and exploring the narrow streets of Morocco to climbing Machu Picchu and enjoying the unspoiled surfer’s paradise in Tarifa, Spain, Sue is passionate about experiences that stir her imagination.
As SickKids saved her friend Ben, Sue designed the Suetables' line for SickKids that sells on www.suetables.com for SickKids Hospital – her favourite charity. Proceeds benefit The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

christy grant, Quebec rep
Born in Montreal, Christy went to University in Ontario and called Whistler, BC her home for five years. In the mid-90s, she moved back to Montreal with her husband and built a career in the fast-paced world of software. After 12 years, Christy made the big decision to leave the corporate world and work from home. Searching for flexibility, innovation and a product she loved, Christy found the perfect match in Suetables. Already a big fan of the product, Christy was excited about the opportunity of joining the suetables team in 2007 and launching the product in Quebec. Now she is working hard to spread the word about suetables in Montreal and across Quebec while managing the daily demands of two great, growing boys.

What do you do when you wake up one morning only to discover that representing one of the world’s great fashion labels (Anne Klein Collection) in Canada just isn’t lighting your wick the way it once did?
Well, if you’re Victoria Bell, you take a deep breath, move to Toronto, become an account executive at one of the country’s most prestigious ad agencies, get married, join Taxi, the hottest creative advertising shop in the country, give birth to boy girl twins, move with your family to Halifax, Nova Scotia, become a certified Hatha Yoga instructor, fall sun salutation over downward dog over a great line of jewelry called Suetables and get invited to be the exclusive Nova Scotia representative. Phew… all that and not once be referred to as an A type personality.

kathy besse, show rep
Sue’s sister, Kathy, helped Suetables’ grow in 2006-2008 by travelling to the mountains in Mexico to source suppliers and oversee production and helping with the day-to-day operations. With an artists’ sensibility in her own right from years in the promotions industry, Kathy’s creativity and eye for good design has helped build Suetables and grow their savvy cottage-industry clientele. Kathy now works with Sue at trunk shows where women can have their jewelry personalized on site.
