ABOUT SUE HENDERSON, FOUNDER & DESIGNER
For over 10 years, Sue worked in the television industry - director of public relations for the launch of brands like HGTV, Food Network, Slice (Life Network) and National Geographic Canada, before turning to jewelry design in 2004 as a more personal means of expression. Sue describes her business as something that grew from, “a need for balance combined with my love of contemporary art, fashion, literature and words.” Inspired by a hand-stamped vintage knife she saw on the coast of Maine, Sue started hand stamping vintage silver baby spoons and butter knives for gifts. Once she developed her hand-stamping skills, personalizing jewelry was a natural evolution that provided an outlet for her creativity. Sue's creations are deeply sentimental with a modern yet nostalgic edge - as hand stamping's font is similar to an old fashioned typewriter. Sue designs are chic, collectable, modern, timeless and meant to be worn anytime, anywhere.
Suetables was Sue's love and hobby than became her full-time job after a few years of listening to clients, honing her craft, simple designs and travelling to source suppliers in Mexico, Czech, Thailand and more recently, locally in Canada.
Not just content to dream about faraway places, Sue ensures that travel is a vital aspect of her life and jewelry design. To be creative, Sue believes you have to go where you can relax and take in new sights and experiences. From visiting art galleries on Toronto’s Queen Street or skiing in Whistler with her two sons and blended family and exploring the cobblestone streets of Morocco, Vienna, Paris, London, Scotland or Prague to climbing to Machu Picchu, hiking in the Austrian alps and exploring Thailand, Sue is passionate about experiences that stir her imagination. firstname.lastname@example.org

ABOUT THE SILVER
All jewelry pictured is .925 sterling silver. Ninety percent of the line is original and designed in Canada and made in Taxco, Mexico and Thailand with select items made custom locally just outside of Toronto.
Suetables uses expert silversmiths from Taxco - the place where Paloma Picasso, William Spratling and Daniel Espinosa (the most successful Mexican artist) began. There is something about this mysterious hilly town, lined with silversmiths and cobblestone streets that lures founder + designer, Sue Henderson, back time and time again.
Items are made with unequaled quality and workmanship in the mountains in Mexico or Thailand. These companies specialize in design and manufacturing of jewelry and silver work, by means of the traditional artisan process that has flourished for the past 70 years. We hope this authenticity reflects in our line.
Devoted to working with the best craftspeople world wide including Canadian - visited and selected in person by Sue - Suetables is designed, assembled in unique ways and hand stamped in Toronto and by reps across North America. Each pendant is hand stamped one letter at a time. Hand stamping is an art. The look of the piece will vary slightly from the picture shown and stamping may be uneven. This is what makes each Suetables piece special, unique and full of character.
